
Mundy Park is located in the heart of the city and is one of the various natural areas and municipal parks within Coquitlam. On the northern and eastern edge of the highlands are the Minnekhada Regional Park, Provincial Park, Pinecone Burke and Pitt Addington Marsh. Towne Centre Park is situated within the middle portion of the city, and it offers residents a lot of recreational activities. Beach-enthusiasts can enjoy the neighboring beaches of Anmore (Sasamat lake, Buntzen Lake), Port Moody and Belcarra.
There are various sports and recreation fields within Coquitlam.
